PRE-CONF SESSION - Additional Credential in Personal Finance (Test) Partial Approval - Free

This is an additional credentialing opportunity administered by iCEV and is not required to teach the course in Tennessee. Full attendance in the TN Jump$tart Conference will provide the state-level credentialing to teach the personal finance course. In order to help those taking this test be successful, test takers should: 1) have previously attended the conference or another previous personal finance training that provided the state-level credential; 2) have taught the high school personal finance course; and/or 3) be a community financial education practitioner.

Certificates for professional development credit hours will be available during the final conference session.

 

PERSONAL FINANCE CREDENTIAL TO TEACH TENNESSEE HIGH SCHOOL COURSE

To receive the credential (employment standard) to teach the Tennessee high school personal finance course, you must attend the pre-conference session (registration required) and the entire conference (in addition to having the licensure required by the Tennessee Department of Education).  Those who attend this pre-conference session will receive an extra entry into the closing session door prize drawingsTo register, look for “PRE-CONF SESSION –Credential TO Teach TN High School PF Course.”

 

ADDITIONAL CREDENTIAL OPPORTUNITY FOR PREVIOUS ATTENDEES

For past attendees, you can obtain an additional educator credential from W!SE (Working in Support of Education). The test will take place on Wednesday morning as a pre-conference session.

There is not charge for the test. Those who take the test will receive an extra entry into the closing session door prize drawings.  To register, look for “PRE-CONF SESSION  - Additional Credential in Personal Finance (Test).”

 

Cancellation policy

Cancellation must be requested by Monday, May 12. After that time, only attendees substitutions may be made.

Hotel and travel expenses are the responsibility of the conference participant. Staying at the conference hotel is not required. Participants are responsible for making their own reservations and paying for their own hotel rooms and incidentals.

 

Hotel Early Departure Fee and Late Cancellations/No Shows

In the event that you check out prior to your reserved check out date, the Hotel will add an early checkout fee to your account, equivalent to one night's room fee. Guests wishing to avoid an early checkout fee should advise the Hotel at or before check-in of any change in planned length of stay.

Room reservations may be cancelled up to 48 hours prior to the date of arrival without a penalty. No Shows and Cancellations that occur less than 48 hours of arrival will be charged a one night room penalty.
